The training of the students of the geological engineering department last for three years : 

• The first year is of a fundamental teaching which gives to the student the basic notions of general geology and the tools for the geologist engineer.
• The second year of applied geology based on various domains of geological engineering in the domain of georessources, arrangement and environment.
• The third year was reserved  for the qualification project in collaboration with industrial companies and a complement of engineering geology specialised and adaptable to the needs of the market and to the choice of the student.
  This diploma aims at making the engineer professional in the Georessources and Environment specialty.

 
The student qualified would be able to exercise his competences in many domains like :

• Civil engineering(geotechnics, public works, public arrangements).
• Georessources(water resources, oil-domain, mines and energy domains, …).
• Building materials(granulate, ornamental rocks, concrete).
• Environment and public arrangements(impacts, depollution, valorisation, …).

It aims at training engineers in the domain of georessources and environment.
The programs and methods of teaching aim at training high scale engineers able to promote the development of new technics, to participate in the active life and to meets the needs of  the national economy in many sectors : mines, oil, public arrangements, environment, water, …

It can be by :

• national competitive entrance exams: Biological .
• by looking at the case files of senior technicians (Bac+2 and BAC+3) in the first year of civil engineering and of the qualified in natural sciences chemical and physical sciences in the second year.
